Viveka

Viveka Fox
(fiddle, bodhran, djembe) has played North American, Scottish and Irish music since childhood. Her solo album Shores of Champlain was released in 1993. In addition to Atlantic Crossing, she performs with the Celtic/contra dance band Frost and Fire. Outside the music world, she is founder and head coach of the
Vermont Fencing Alliance.

Peter

Peter Macfarlane
(fiddle, low whistle, vocals) relocated to Vermont from the UK where he played regularly for Scottish dances, ceilidhs, weddings andĀ more, and he released in 2003 a recording of original Scottish dance music. He has since published two volumes of his own compositions, entitled North Country. He performs with Frost and Fire in addition to Atlantic Crossing, teaches fiddle, custom buildsĀ  cedar strip canoes, and is musical director of the Champlain Valley Scottish Fiddle Club.

Brian

Tristan Henderson
(mandolin, bouzouki, tenor banjo, foot percussion, vocals, and more)
replaced founding band member Brian Perkins in 2011. Tristan acquired his ability to play anything with strings (and some without) as a teenager at the weekly folk music sessions near his family home in Pomfret, Vermont. He was a 2013 winner of the Young Tradition Vermont talent contest with bagpiper Hazen Metro. In addition to Atlantic Crossing, he performs with Pete's Posse, Piper's Den and Americana band Brian Gatch & Civilian Blue.

Rick

Rick Klein
(guitar, vocals) developed his powerful rhythm playing through years of work in dance bands of all types. A licensed skipper who has lived and worked on the sea, he has a natural affinity for maritime music. When not playing music, he can usually be found making dust as a wood-worker, when he's not chasing the skier ahead of him in a Nordic race.
